Simon embodies the spirit of versatility and dedication, with a life story rooted in hard work and diverse experiences. Growing up on a farm, he developed a knack for being a jackass of all trades, mastering welding, construction (having built several houses), and tinkering with anything mechanical that crosses his path.

Despite his proficiency in the trades, Simon’s journey took an unexpected turn into the fashion industry, where he has spent the past 35 years. Though not strutting down runways as a model, his behind-the-scenes contributions have been instrumental in shaping the industry’s landscape.

Currently engaged in full-time employment, Simon’s commitment to excellence extends beyond his professional endeavors. He serves as the esteemed President of the Fraser Coast Sporting Clays, bringing his wealth of experience, leadership acumen, and passion for the shooting sports to the forefront.

Simon’s presidency is marked by a steadfast dedication to fostering a welcoming and thriving community within the Fraser Coast Sporting Clays. His multifaceted background, coupled with a genuine love for the sport, ensures that under his guidance, the club continues to flourish and inspire a new generation of shooters.

Andrew Chorley is a proud lifelong resident of the Fraser Coast, deeply rooted in the region’s heritage and community. Born and bred in this vibrant area, Andrew has been immersed in various disciplines of shooting since a young age, showcasing a passion for marksmanship and sportsmanship.

Although his journey started as a pistol shooter, Andrew’s enthusiasm led him to discover the exhilaration of Sporting Clays. Despite being relatively new to the sport compared to some, his dedication to continual improvement shines through in every shoot. Andrew approaches each challenge with a determination to better his skills and contribute positively to the sport’s growth and development in our community.

As the newly appointed Secretary of the Fraser Coast Sporting Clays Committee, Andrew brings not only a wealth of shooting experience but also a deep-seated commitment to fostering camaraderie, sportsmanship, and excellence within the club.
